About

Simplify your transition towards circularity

An effective circular economy requires the circulation of not only resources but also information. The PCDS addresses today’s difficulty in accessing reliable and standardized data on the circular properties of a product.

How it works?

All circular data on a single document

The PCDS can be used to share the circularity attribute of a product and provide information on the circular path for which it was designed and manufactured. Thanks to its 130 statements it covers the entire lifecycle of a product.

FAQ

Does the PCDS apply only to finished products?

PCDS can be used for any type of physical product, whether products made from several components (e.g. electronic equipment, clothing), these components or individual parts, or processed materials (e.g. cement, bitumen).

How can I create my PCDS?

It's easy to create a PCDS by subscribing to one of our Pro or Enterprise subscriptions. Once you've created your account, you'll have access to the online form for creating a PCDS.

Is there a specific type of PCDS for each industry?

The PCDS form is unique and based on ISO 59040. As this standard is set to evolve, we are already planning to set up sector-specific working groups to understand how best to implement PCDS for each industry. We invite you to contact us if you would like to participate in future working groups.

What can I do with PCDS?

There are many uses, for example:
- Use the PCDS as a tool for improving the eco-design of your products
improve your data management and use it to define strategies, targets and KPIs for the circular economy
- Use the PCDS as a credible communication tool and avoid greenwashing with your contacts, customers or prospects, for example
- Use PCDS as a source of verifiable data to prepare your voluntary or regulatory CSR reporting.

Will I get a ranking, scoring or a label thanks to the PCDS?

No, PCDS is a tool for collecting and sharing circular data. You can then use this data yourself, or with the help of consultants and other service providers, to calculate a score, or to prepare the information needed to obtain a label.
